Adult Weekday Classes
Several learning opportunities are available this winter and spring! Check out the weeknight Bible studies below for a chance to study God’s Word in community and grow in your relationship with Christ.
Let Us Pray: Living & Walking with Jesus
Thursday evenings, February 9th-23rd, 7:00pm
Be a part of one or all three studies offered in February, exploring our congregational theme for the year: Let Us Pray. Some of the staff at Peace had an opportunity to attend prayer workshops at a local conference this fall. Bethany, Annette and Pastor Chris will share what they learned.
Celtic Spirituality: Prayer, Work & Missions
Thursday, February 9th, 7:00pm in the Parish Center
The examples of the early Church and the Ancient Celts have much to teach us about living lives that swing naturally between work and recreation, outward action and inward prayer. The ancient Celtic communities combined prayer and mission, and in doing so, transformed a nation. Come and learn how an inward rhythm of prayer and outward works of service can cooperate powerfully in your life to proclaim and demonstrate the Kingdom of God. Bethany Paulus will facilitate this study.
Healing Prayer: Soaking in God’s Love
Thursday, February 16th, 7:00pm in the Youth Room
Nothing empowers our hearts like the revelation of God’s love for us. When we are confident in His enjoyment over us, we can trust the goodness of His heart no matter what our circumstances may be. Sadly, the ability to receive from God is often blocked by our own experiences of fear, rejection, or trauma and we cannot free ourselves. In this class Annette Flaig will share insights and testimonies from the workshop she attended. Come and learn more about “soaking prayer” in your life and others’ lives
Authenticity & Prayer
Thursday, February 23rd, 7:00pm
What does it mean to be authentic as a follower of Christ? Who is vulnerability meant for—the weak or the strong? When is vulnerability healthy and when do we cross the line? As Christians we are called to model personal weakness and dependence upon God, and prayer is the language of dependence. Come to learn more about giving and receiving prayer, and what it means to be authentic in our relationship with the Lord.
Pastor Chris will lead this study.
Church History
Monday evenings, February 27th – April 2nd, 7:00pm
Have you ever wondered how the Christian Church evolved into the Church of our day? Join Pastor Jack Jacobsen as he shares his passion for the history of our faith and the important events in our church history. Six sessions will cover church history from the Day of Pentecost to our present day.
Sessions 1 & 2 Brief History of the Christian Church

As we share our own experiences of grace, we’ll reflect on noted theologians’ descriptions and finally, what it means for us each day.
