Outreach

Compassionate service and sharing God's story of salvation with others are central to Peace Lutheran Church. Many groups within our congregation participate in missional service through ChristCare or youth activities. We also have congregation-wide opportunities for service.

If you have a passion for outreach, ideas to share or questions about getting involved with outreach ministry at Peace, please contact a member of the Board of Mission & Outreach or Bethany Paulus. It’s an exciting time for reaching out into our community and around the world!

Feed My Starving Children

June 25th from 6:00-7:30 PM

Come and package dry food that will be distributed around the world. The new facility accommodates 90 people, so bring a friend! Kids in 3rd grade and above can also participate. Look for sign-up sheets in the Narthex in June.

NEAR Foodshelf

Ongoing Food Collection

Look for the food barrels in the Narthex and the lower level by the parking lot entrance. Donations can also be made in your offering envelope, indicating NEAR Food Shelf.

Ingathering of Eyeglasses and Cell Phones

During Lent we will be collecting both eyeglasses and cell phones. The eyeglasses will be donated to Gloria Sauck who serves as a medical missionary with World Mission Prayer League in the “bush” of north central Kenya. She and co-workers in surrounding clinics are currently working with a Trachoma Control Program sponsored by Christian Blind Mission. The cell phones will be donated to a local women’s shelter. Look for a basket in the Narthex to deposit these items.
