Mission:
-
has a commitment to bring children to know Jesus
-
desires to minister to families
-
recognizes the growing need for quality day care
-
chooses to be a positive force in the community
-
has available space and resources
Therefore we, Peace Lutheran Church, have
established a day care program in which we provide a safe, nurturing and
stimulating environment for children of our congregation and community. Here the
children will live and grow and learn in an atmosphere of Christian love and
will know that they are children of God and loved by Him, through the teaching,
care, and commitment of a Christian staff.
-
Provide quality day care for children in our community
in an atmosphere of Christian love and caring.
-
Support parents in the Christian nurturing process and
help the children grow in their relationship with God.
-
Provide an atmosphere of acceptance and encouragement,
helping children develop a positive self image.
-
Help the children grow in their relationship with
others, learning to share and interact in socially acceptable ways.
-
Give the children ample opportunities for
self-expression, providing guidance and suggestions which expand their
horizons of understanding and thinking.
-
Exercise loving discipline and teach the children God's
standard of conduct.
-
Extend the children's language abilities through
stories, poems and real life experiences which build vocabulary and
encourage oral expression, (field trips, "show and tell").
-
Provide experiences that stimulate curiosity and the
desire to learn.
Children of Peace is licensed to serve 64 full-time equivalent children (Pre-school and School-age). No child will
be refused admission due to race or religion. Children with special needs
will be reviewed by the Director to see if the program and facilities are
capable of meeting the special needs.
